* This Rajamaha Viharya belongs to the Tricomalee distric in Estern province.

* Which is among the sixteen holiest buddhist shrines (solosmasthana)

* This Rajamaha Viharaya was built by the reign of king Kawanthissa (2nd century B.C)

* This Rajamaha Viharaya include Lalata dathun Wahanse(sacrad fore head bone) of lord buddha.

* You can visit this palce when you are on the way to Trincomalee.
